Body widget is an Apple Watch app that displays personal-wellness information from Apple Watch and Apple Health records.
Health data access
When you allow Apple Health data access, Body widget may read records in these categories.
- Heart and cardiovascular: heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, AFib burden, high and low heart rate and irregular rhythm events, and ECGs
- Respiratory, oxygen, and hearing: respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, sleep breathing disturbances, and audio exposure
- Activity and body: steps, active and basal energy, exercise, stand and daylight time, body mass, distances, flights climbed, swim, run, and cycle metrics, and physical effort
- Sleep, workouts, mindfulness, and environment: sleep, workouts, mindfulness, wrist temperature, water depth, and water temperature
These records support Body widget, health displays, trends, and timelines. The current estimated stress index uses qualifying SDNN HRV and nearby heart-rate measurements. To assess eligibility and preserve local calculations, the app also stores locally derived measurement metadata, including source, device category, measurement interval, and motion context. This metadata is not a personal identifier.
Storage and Apple Health
Your personal baselines, estimates, trends, timelines, check-ins, caches, and the derived metadata described above are stored locally in the app group on your device while you use the app. You can edit or delete check-ins in the app. Original health records in Apple Health remain separately managed by Apple Health.
Only mindfulness sessions you actively start may be written to Apple Health. You can review or revoke Body widget’s health-data read and write permissions in Health or your device’s health-data access settings. Deleting local app data does not automatically delete original records in Apple Health.
Transfers, advertising, and accounts
Body widget does not use user accounts, advertising, tracking tools, or an external app-data server. Health records and derived metadata are processed locally on your device; Body widget does not perform health analysis on a server.
Website
This website is provided through Cloudflare. Standard request processing that may occur while providing this website is separate from the app’s handling of health data.
Wellness information
Body widget estimates are personal-wellness reference information. They do not provide medical judgment, treatment, or a mental health diagnosis.
